Hush, Hush ☆☆☆☆☆

Posted on 2. January 20232. January 2023 by riky

This book really entertained me, in both a good and bad way. Considering I read it all night and got through it in one sitting I feel kind of weird about it. As for the plot, yes, I liked it and I liked it a lot. Even though I thought I knew what was coming next, I didn’t… the author surprised me and I like that.

On the other hand, I guess I’m a bit too old for this book because I find the style of writing very adolescent. I don’t know if it’s meant to be or if it’s just a poor translation, but it is. Some of the phrases were downright ridiculous. Not funny, but ridiculous. Maybe if I was 5 years younger I wouldn’t even notice it, but unfortunately, I’m not.

Anyway, if you like fantasy and like to read something simple, go for it. The story is really good and makes up for the little flaws, which in the end don’t hinder the enjoyment of reading.

About book:

Author: Becca Fitzpatrick, born February 3rd, 1979 in the USA

Pages:  391

Series: Hush Hush #1

Description:

A SACRED OATH

A FALLEN ANGEL

A FORBIDDEN LOVE

Romance was not part of Nora Grey’s plan. She’s never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how hard her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch comes along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Patch draws Nora to him against her better judgment.

But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora’s not sure whom to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is and seems to know more about her than her closest friends. She can’t decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.

For she is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen – and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost Nora her life.
