    Review – Crescendo

I found this book better written than the first one, but how I mentioned in the first review, it might be just that translation. Of course, some sentences were too simple and they were missing some deepness, but it was OK. What really disturbed me was the fact, that some information was different than in the first book. But worst was Nora’s foolishness I guess. She was looking for problems where there were no problems at all and she was arguing with Patch for no reason which left mark on their relationship. At one point it seemed that Nora knows, what she wants and how to get it and then…

    Barcelona series – part 1

At the end of January 2018, I went on a trip with my two friends. As for privacy, let’s call them L. and M. We decided to visit Barcelona in Spain. One of the most historic cities I ever saw. There are so many beautiful buildings. If you are passionate about architecture and history, Barcelona should be on top of your “To visit” list. The trip was about having a great time so I didn’t write our itinerary down as I should. I only put down what we saw on a specific day but not as following. So I want to apologize for that. Day 1 Flight to Barcelona Getting…

    Jana Kramer and a podcast?

I really like Jana Kramer and her Instagram and now surprise surprise, she has her own podcast at iHeart Radio. Who is Jana Kramer? For you, who never heard about Jana Kramer, she is an actress (IMDB) and singer. I know her since I was watching One Tree Hill TV Show, which is btw the best. You could see her also in 90210 New Generation or Prom Night. She’s got a really nice voice and she’s funny. She also has a beautiful, 2 years old little girl named Jolie and she is so cute in those pictures and videos on Instagram. You can check her Instagram here. Here is her…

    Review – Raven’s Circle series

I wasn’t looking at these books much at bookstores but my mum did and when my friend told me she has them, all three, I simply had to borrow them. And now? I read all three of them (about 1500 pages) in less than a week. Unfortunately, I didn’t find out if the book is translated to English (it’s not on Goodreads but here is a link to the English page ) and I read it in Czech and I must say, it’s not written very well but the story is actually good. It’s something new. Sometimes I had a feeling that author didn’t know what she want’s to write so…

Jane The Virgin – TV Show

Today, I decided to share with you some thoughts about pretty good and funny TV Show which is called Jane The Virgin. What is it about? Well, it’s something like satiric comedy/telenovela. I don’t want to spoiler you much. But basically, it’s about a young girl named Jane who is a Virgin. One day she goes to OB/GYN and gets accidentally fertilized. Jane finds out when she passes out in a bus and is taken to ER. You can imagine it’s a big shock for her and also for her mother. And then it starts. Jane confronts her OB/GYN doctor, which turns out to be a sister of the “father”…

    Looking back at Christmas 2017

I think it’s time to recapitulate this year’s Christmas (or to be more specific, last year’s Christmas). I don’t know why, but this year it was missing that “Christmas’ spirit” for me. It wasn’t bad, just not so special. I got nice gifts, but none of them was a real surprise for me. I didn’t have time to bake cookies as usual, so I made just four kinds. But I had a great time exploring Christmas markets here in Brno. And I must say, we had amazing Christmas trees, both of them. Punch was awesome as well. Here in Brno, we have a specialty (I don’t know if they serve…

Movie #1 in 99 classic movie marathon

As I promised I’m letting you know that I’ll be watching firs movie soon. And how soon? What would you say for this Sunday evening? I mean evening at my place. As the movie has only about 50 minutes let’s say I’ll start at 9 p.m. CET. I did some investigation about this movie and I found out that they have a mistake in the 99 classic movie book. They stated it’s from 1922 and it’s sequel. But it’s not sequel and the movie is originally from 1920. And what movie it is? It’s called The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. It’s German silent movie / horror. Official description from IMDb…

99 classic movies for people in a hurry

Yeah, I know it’s been some time since I posted something … and I’m sorry for that. It’s been little crazy around here lately. In short, I got a part-time job which I just quit and I also tutor English to one lady 2x a week so you can imagine how much free time do I have. And that free time I’m usually spending by reading a book. But I miss writing so I hope this small project will keep me up to it for a while 🙂 Some time ago I got a book from my friend (as a gift). It’s written by Henrik Lange and Thomas Wengelewski. This book is…

    Review – Aurora Sky

Aurora Sky   I didn’t expect much from this book but I was nicely surprised. It’s really hard not to write the whole storyline but I’ll do my best 😀 Let’s start with the better: Plot. I love the story… As you probably know (either from the name or annotation), the story is about vampires. Not that we don’t have enough stories about them 🙂 But I personally have no problem with it. But the way how the government is involved in this story is really good idea. To form their own hunters by saving them and giving them vampire blood with all kinds of diseases… I was quite intrigued.…
